You are able to start the repair mode only after you have selected and
carried out a series of tests.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Select the tests
by using the drag-and-drop function
by double-clicking on a (basic) test or folder containing (basic) tests
Click on the "Execute" pushbutton to start the tests.
When the tests have finished, and depending on the current system
settings, a detailed view of the error messages is displayed in the
application log. Click on the "Display" pushbutton to get to this
screen.
Study the error messages in the application log. Detailed information
is provided for some of these error messages. This detailed information
is usually in the form of rows from tables, for example, rows from a
fact table in an InfoCube if the dimension key is invalid. With the
help of the detailed information, you (or SAP Support) are able to get
a clear picture of the exact nature of the problem.
Consider which errors you want the repair tool to try and repair. Click
on the "Back" pushbutton to leave the application log and return to the
view of the tests that have been carried out. Click on the "Repair"
pushbutton. Each time it makes a correction or deletes any of your
data, the system asks you to confirm that it is OK to do so. You are
able to deselect individual basic tests (using the drag-and-drop
function) before the repair run starts.
