Message text: No suitable user-specific precalculation available, general is used
There is no suitable user-specific or role-specific precalculation. Ther
e is only a non user-specific, general precalculation that corresponds
to the request parameters.
First the system tries to find a suitable user-specific precalculation.
If this is unsuccessful, a suitable general precalculation is sought.
This is not an error and is generally not a problem. Only when you are
exclusively looking for a user-specific precalculation, should you
generate the suitable precalculation and run it again. The system only

This typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BI (Business Intelligence) when dealing with queries and precalculated data.
Cause:
- No User-Specific Precalculation: The primary cause of this error is that there is no precalculated data available for the specific user who is executing the query. Precalculations are often user-specific to optimize performance and provide tailored data views.
- Precalculation Not Executed: The precalculation process may not have been executed for the user or the specific query variant.
- Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary authorizations to access the user-specific precalculation.
- Query Settings: The query settings may not be configured to allow user-specific precalculations.
Solution:
- Check Precalculation Settings: Ensure that the precalculation settings for the query are correctly configured. You can do this in the Query Designer by checking the properties of the query.
- Run Precalculation: If user-specific precalculation is required, run the precalculation for the specific user. This can usually be done through the SAP BW system by executing the precalculation process for the query.
- Review Authorizations: Verify that the user has the necessary authorizations to access the precalculated data. This may involve checking roles and authorizations in the SAP system.
- Use General Precalculation: If user-specific precalculation is not necessary, you can continue using the general precalculation. However, this may not provide the tailored data that the user needs.
- Check Query Variants: Ensure that the query variants are set up correctly and that the user is using the correct variant that corresponds to their precalculated data.
