The SAP error message RSOH023 indicates that there are inconsistencies related to navigation attributes in the database tables. This typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BI (Business Intelligence) environments, where navigation attributes are used to enhance the data model and provide additional context for reporting and analysis.

    Cause:

The error can arise due to several reasons, including:

    1. Inconsistent Data: Navigation attributes may not be properly aligned with the master data or may have been changed without corresponding updates in the related InfoObjects or InfoProviders.

    2. Data Model Changes: Changes in the data model, such as modifications to InfoObjects, InfoProviders, or the underlying database tables, can lead to inconsistencies.

    3. Transport Issues: If changes were transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), there may be discrepancies if the transport did not include all necessary objects or if there were version mismatches.

    4. Data Load Issues: Problems during data loading processes can lead to incomplete or incorrect data being loaded, which can affect navigation attributes.

    Solution:

    2. Rebuild Navigation Attributes:

      • If navigation attributes are found to be inconsistent, you may need to rebuild them. This can be done by reactivating the InfoObject or InfoProvider that contains the navigation attributes.
    3. Data Load Monitoring:

      • Monitor the data load processes to ensure that data is being loaded correctly. Check for any errors or warnings in the data load logs.
    4. Transport Management:

      • If the issue is related to transports, ensure that all necessary objects are included in the transport request and that they are in sync across systems.
    5. Consult SAP Notes:

      • Check the SAP Support Portal for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this specific error. There may be patches or updates that can resolve known issues.
