Message class: RSMDP - Master Data Processing
Message number: 890
Message text: Attribute &1: Check canceled due to missing SID values
The consistency check must be terminated because data records are
missing in the SID table of attribute &V1& in comparison to the P or Q
table. The P or Q table contains a total of &V3& data records for the
current data package. Of these &V3& data records, only &V2& data records
have corresponding data records in the SID table of attribute &V1&.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Run the test

of program RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL for the characteristic. This test returns
detailed information about the data records missing in the SID table of
the attribute.
If this test is called in repair mode, missing data records are created
subsequently in the SID tables of attributes.

- Attribute &1: Check canceled due to missing SID values ?The SAP error message RSMDP890, which states "Attribute &1: Check canceled due to missing SID values," typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when there are issues related to the master data attributes and their corresponding SID (Surrogate ID) values.
Cause:
- Missing SID Values: The error indicates that the system is unable to find the necessary SID values for the specified attribute. This can happen if the master data for the attribute has not been loaded or if there are inconsistencies in the master data.
- Data Load Issues: If the data load process for the master data has failed or has not been executed, the SID values will not be available.
- Data Model Changes: Changes in the data model, such as modifications to InfoObjects or attributes, can lead to missing SID values if the data has not been reloaded or updated accordingly.
- Inconsistent Data: If there are inconsistencies in the data, such as missing entries in the master data tables, this can also lead to this error.
Solution:
- Check Master Data: Verify that the master data for the attribute in question has been loaded correctly. You can do this by checking the relevant InfoObject in the SAP BW system.
- Reload Master Data: If the master data is missing or incomplete, perform a data load for the master data to ensure that all necessary SID values are generated.
- Check Data Load Process: Review the data load process logs to identify any errors or warnings that may indicate why the SID values are missing.
- Consistency Check: Use transaction codes like
RSA1
(Data Warehousing Workbench) to perform consistency checks on the InfoObjects and ensure that all necessary data is present.- Reprocess Data: If there have been changes to the data model, consider reprocessing the data to ensure that all SID values are correctly generated and associated with the attributes.
