Message text: Check canceled due to missing SID values for &1 table
The consistency check was terminated because data records are missing in

only &V2& data records have corresponding data records in the SID table.
The consistency of the SID table, however, is mandatory in order to
perform this consistency check.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Run the test
Versions in SID,P,Q
of program RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL for the characteristic. This test returns
detailed information about the data records missing in the SID table.
Since it is a serious inconsistency, an automatic repair is not
possible.

RSMDP816
- Check canceled due to missing SID values for &1 table ?The SAP error message RSMDP816 indicates that a check was canceled because there are missing SID (Surrogate ID) values for a specific table in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse). This typically occurs when the system is trying to perform operations that require SID values, such as data extraction, loading, or reporting, but cannot find the necessary SID entries.
Cause:
- Missing SID Values: The most common cause of this error is that the SID values for the specified table are missing or not generated. This can happen if the data load process was interrupted or if there were issues during the data extraction process.
- Data Model Issues: If the data model is not properly defined or if there are inconsistencies in the data model, it can lead to missing SID values.
- Data Source Issues: If the data source from which the data is being extracted does not provide the necessary keys or if there are issues with the data source configuration, it can result in missing SIDs.
Solution:
- Check Data Load Process: Review the data load process to ensure that it completed successfully. If it was interrupted, you may need to restart the data load.
- Rebuild SIDs: You can rebuild the SIDs for the affected InfoObject or InfoProvider. This can typically be done through the SAP BW transaction code RSA1 (Data Warehousing Workbench) by navigating to the relevant InfoObject and using the option to rebuild SIDs.
- Check Data Source Configuration: Ensure that the data source is correctly configured and that it is providing the necessary keys for SID generation.
- Monitor Data Transfer: Use transaction RSMO to monitor the data transfer process and check for any errors or warnings that may indicate issues with SID generation.
- Check for Data Consistency: Use transaction RS_CHECK to check for data consistency issues in the InfoProvider or InfoObject.
