Message text: No existing requests deleted from data targets -> Long text
If this InfoPackage is loaded now, then no requests, which occurred in
the data targets in which the request is booked, are deleted or
cancelled.
The same check was run after successfully loading the InfoPackage
again. In the meantime, some changes might have occurred for the
requests in the data targets. In doing so, requests for
deleting/cancelling might have been found. However, this is in all
probability very unlikely.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

RSM1604
- No existing requests deleted from data targets -> Long text ?The SAP error message RSM1604, which states "No existing requests deleted from data targets," typically occurs in the context of data extraction and loading processes in SAP BW (Business Warehouse). This message indicates that the system attempted to delete requests from a data target (like an InfoCube or DataStore Object) but found no requests that matched the criteria for deletion.
Cause:
No Matching Requests: The most common cause is that there are no requests in the specified data target that meet the criteria for deletion. This could happen if:
- The requests have already been deleted.
- The requests have been archived or are not in the active state.
- The selection criteria used for deletion do not match any existing requests.
Incorrect Selection Criteria: If the selection criteria (like request number, date, etc.) used in the deletion process are incorrect or too restrictive, it may lead to this message.
Data Target Status: The data target might be in a state that does not allow for deletion, such as being locked or in a process that prevents modifications.
Solution:
Check Existing Requests: Verify the existing requests in the data target to ensure that there are requests available for deletion. You can do this by navigating to the relevant data target in the SAP BW system and checking the request list.
Review Selection Criteria: Ensure that the selection criteria used for the deletion process are correct and broad enough to match existing requests. Adjust the criteria if necessary.
Data Target Status: Check the status of the data target to ensure it is not locked or in a state that prevents deletion. If it is locked, you may need to unlock it or wait until the current process is completed.
Use Transaction Codes: You can use transaction codes like
RSA1
(Data Warehousing Workbench) to manage and monitor data targets and requests.Logs and Traces: Review logs and traces for more detailed information about the deletion process. This can provide insights into why no requests were found.
