The system only deletes the DataSource replicate in the BW system

reappears in the source system tree.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- DataSource &1(&2) with external original system deleted as replicate only ?The SAP error message RSDS164 indicates that a DataSource is associated with an external original system that has been deleted, and this DataSource is set up as "replicate only." This situation typically arises in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP HANA environments where DataSources are used to extract data from various sources.
Cause:
- Deleted External System: The external system that the DataSource was originally linked to has been deleted or is no longer available.
- Replicate Only Setting: The DataSource is configured to replicate data from the external system, and since the system is deleted, the DataSource can no longer function as intended.
- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration issues in the BW system that need to be addressed.
Solution:
Check External System Configuration:
- Verify if the external system is indeed deleted. If it was deleted by mistake, you may need to recreate it.
- If the external system is no longer needed, you can proceed to remove the DataSource.
Remove or Adjust the DataSource:
- If the external system is not going to be restored, you can delete the DataSource that is causing the error. This can be done in the SAP BW system by navigating to the DataSource in the Data Warehousing Workbench and deleting it.
- If you need to keep the DataSource for historical reasons, consider changing its settings or reassigning it to a different, valid external system.
Reconfigure DataSource:
- If you have a new external system that you want to link to the DataSource, you can reconfigure the DataSource to point to the new system.
Check for Dependencies:
- Ensure that there are no other objects (like InfoPackages, DTPs, etc.) that depend on the DataSource. You may need to adjust or delete these objects as well.
Consult Documentation:
- Review SAP documentation or notes related to the specific version of SAP BW you are using for any additional troubleshooting steps or considerations.
