- Snapshot incomplete. Some indexes have not been saved ?The SAP error message RSDD_ZA320 indicates that a snapshot of the data in the SAP BW (Business Warehouse) system is incomplete because some indexes have not been saved. This can occur during the process of data extraction, loading, or when trying to create a snapshot of the data in the InfoProvider.
Causes:
- Data Load Issues: There may have been issues during the data load process, such as data inconsistencies, missing data, or errors in the data source.
- Indexing Problems: The indexes required for the InfoProvider may not have been created or updated correctly.
- Locking Issues: If there are locks on the data or InfoProvider, it may prevent the snapshot from being completed.
- System Performance: High system load or performance issues can lead to incomplete processing of the snapshot.
- Configuration Errors: Incorrect configuration of the InfoProvider or the data model can lead to issues during the snapshot process.
Solutions:
- Check Data Load: Review the data load process to ensure that it completed successfully without errors. You can check the data load monitor (transaction code:
RSA1
) for any failed loads.- Rebuild Indexes: If the indexes are not created or are corrupted, you may need to rebuild them. This can be done by using the transaction code
RSD1
to access the InfoProvider and then selecting the option to rebuild indexes.- Check Locks: Use transaction code
SM12
to check for any locks on the InfoProvider or related objects. If there are locks, you may need to release them.- System Performance: Monitor system performance and check for any bottlenecks. If the system is under heavy load, consider scheduling the snapshot process during off-peak hours.
- Review Configuration: Ensure that the InfoProvider and data model are configured correctly. Check for any inconsistencies or misconfigurations that could affect the snapshot process.
- Re-run the Snapshot: After addressing the above issues, try to re-run the snapshot process to see if it completes successfully.
