  • What causes this issue?

An aggregate for a non-cumulative InfoCube that contains time
characteristics always, (even in expert mode), has to contain a time
characteristic from which all others are derived. If, for example,
0FISCPER and 0CALMONTH are contained in the aggregate, 0CALDAY also has
to be contained in the aggregate.
However, in this case the most detailed common time characteristic is
    not contained in the InfoCube.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message RSDD452 - '&2':InfoCube '&1' contains non-cumulatives: Char.'&3' is not in the Cube ?

The SAP error message RSDD452 indicates that there is an issue with the InfoCube you are trying to work with. Specifically, it states that the InfoCube contains non-cumulative key figures, and a characteristic that is required for processing is not present in the InfoCube.

    Cause:

    1. Non-Cumulative Key Figures: Non-cumulative key figures are those that do not accumulate over time, such as stock levels or balances. They require certain characteristics to be present in the InfoCube to ensure that the data can be accurately processed and reported.

    2. Missing Characteristic: The error message specifies that a particular characteristic (denoted as '&3') is not included in the InfoCube (denoted as '&1'). This characteristic is likely necessary for the calculation or reporting of the non-cumulative key figures.

    Solution:

    1. Check the InfoCube Structure:

      • Go to the InfoCube definition in the SAP BW system and verify the list of characteristics and key figures. Ensure that the characteristic mentioned in the error message is included in the InfoCube.
    2. Modify the InfoCube:

      • If the characteristic is indeed missing, you may need to modify the InfoCube to include it. This can be done through the InfoCube maintenance transaction (e.g., RSA1) in SAP BW.
      • Add the missing characteristic to the InfoCube and activate the changes.
    3. Data Modeling:

      • Review the data model to ensure that the InfoCube is designed correctly for the type of data you are working with. If you are using non-cumulative key figures, ensure that all necessary characteristics are included.
    4. Reprocess Data:

      • After making changes to the InfoCube, you may need to reprocess the data loads to ensure that the data is correctly populated with the new structure.
    5. Check Queries:

      • If you are running a query that references the InfoCube, ensure that the query is designed to handle the non-cumulative key figures correctly and that it references the correct characteristics.

    Related Information:

    • SAP BW Documentation: Refer to the SAP BW documentation for more details on InfoCubes, non-cumulative key figures, and characteristics.
