Message type: E = Error
Message class: RSCV - Analysis of BW objects (InfoCubes...)
Message number: 361
Message text: PSA table &1 ; request &2 partition &3, packages are in partition &4
In BW 2.0B under ORACLE, all PSA tables are partitioned when created.
Every partitioned PSA table contains an additional field 'PARTNO' in
the
key. This field serves as a partitioning criterion. Partitions are
managed automatically in BW. You must always ensure that the table in
the database is partitioned. The main reason for the inconsistency is
that the table has been deleted from the database using SE14 (Database
Utility) and then recreated. As well as losing the partitioning
property, the BW management information is no longer consistent with
the database status.
The system records an ORACLE database error with numbers >= 14400
If the table is empty, you can recreate the table consistently by
deleting the table from the SAP Datadictionary and reactivating the
transfer structure. Remove the rest of the inconsistences using RSRV.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

RSCV361
- PSA table &1 ; request &2 partition &3, packages are in partition &4 ?The SAP error message RSCV361 typically relates to issues with the Data Transfer Process (DTP) in SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when dealing with the Persistent Staging Area (PSA). This error indicates that there is a mismatch or inconsistency in the data partitioning of the PSA table and the request being processed.
Cause:
- Partition Mismatch: The error suggests that the request you are trying to process is in a different partition than the one expected. This can happen if the data was loaded into a different partition than the one specified in the request.
- Data Load Issues: If there were issues during the data load process, such as interruptions or failures, it could lead to inconsistencies in the partitions.
- Configuration Errors: Incorrect configuration of the DTP or the InfoPackage can lead to this error, especially if the settings for partitioning are not aligned.
Solution:
- Check Partitioning: Verify the partitioning settings for the PSA table and ensure that the request you are trying to process is in the correct partition. You can do this by checking the data in the PSA and the request details.
- Reprocess the Request: If the request is in the wrong partition, you may need to delete the request and reprocess it to ensure it is loaded into the correct partition.
- Data Consistency Check: Run consistency checks on the PSA and the related DTP to ensure that there are no inconsistencies. You can use transaction codes like
RSA1
to access the Data Warehousing Workbench and check for errors.- Adjust DTP Settings: Review the DTP settings to ensure that they are correctly configured for the data source and target. Make sure that the partitioning settings are consistent with the data being loaded.
- Monitor Load Processes: Keep an eye on the load processes to catch any issues early. Use transaction
SM37
to monitor background jobs and check for any failed jobs that might have caused the issue.Related Information:
RSA1
(Data Warehousing Workbench), SM37
(Job Monitoring), and RSC1
(PSA Management). If the issue persists after trying the above solutions, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP Basis or BW team for further investigation, as they may have access to more detailed logs and system settings.
