Message type: E = Error
Message class: RSCV - Analysis of BW objects (InfoCubes...)
Message number: 341
Message text: Node '&1' for hierarchy &2 (characteristic &3) contains small letters
The hierarchy &v2& with node '&v1&' contains contains small letters.
Since the characteristic value is used in the master data as a key,
this will cause problems, since capital and small letters represent
different keys on the database.
Posted transaction data for this characteristic value is possibly not
evaluated in reporting.
For example, transaction data with the name 'SMITH' and 'Smith' has
been posted. A query is now executed and thus limited to the name
'SMITH', ONLY the transaction data posted for this characteristic value
is selected. On the other hand, summarized using the name, ALL posted
transaction data is used.
You can correct all keys (convert into capitals) by starting the
correction in the entry screen with 'Repair error'. Consequently, all
dependent objects are corrected. It is possible that this can last a
long time, since a characteristic can, for example, be used in a great
many InfoCubes.

RSCV341
- Node '&1' for hierarchy &2 (characteristic &3) contains small letters ?The SAP error message RSCV341 indicates that a hierarchy node contains lowercase letters, which is not allowed in certain contexts within SAP BW (Business Warehouse). This error typically arises when you are trying to create or modify a hierarchy for a characteristic, and the node names do not adhere to the naming conventions expected by the system.

Identify the Hierarchy: Determine which hierarchy is causing the error by checking the details provided in the error message (i.e., the node name, hierarchy name, and characteristic).
Modify Node Names:
- Go to the hierarchy maintenance transaction (e.g., RSH1 for Hierarchy Maintenance).
- Locate the specific hierarchy and node that contains lowercase letters.
- Change the node names to use only uppercase letters.
Validate Changes: After making the changes, validate the hierarchy to ensure that there are no remaining issues. You can do this by attempting to save or activate the hierarchy again.
Reprocess: If the hierarchy is part of a larger process (like data loading or reporting), reprocess the relevant data to ensure that the changes take effect.
Related Information:
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the RSCV341 error and ensure that your hierarchy is correctly configured.
