- Hierarchy &3 (SIF &1) for InfoObject &2 has obsolete version ' ' ?The SAP error message RSCV152 indicates that there is an issue with a hierarchy associated with an InfoObject in the SAP BW (Business Warehouse) system. Specifically, it suggests that the hierarchy version being referenced is obsolete or not valid.
Cause:
- Obsolete Hierarchy Version: The hierarchy version for the specified InfoObject is marked as obsolete. This can happen if the hierarchy has been changed or deleted, or if the version has not been updated properly.
- Data Consistency Issues: There may be inconsistencies in the data model, such as missing or incorrectly configured hierarchies.
- Transport Issues: If the hierarchy was transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), there may have been issues during the transport process that led to the hierarchy not being properly activated or recognized.
Solution:
- Check Hierarchy Versions: Go to the hierarchy maintenance transaction (e.g., RSH1) and check the versions of the hierarchy for the specified InfoObject. Ensure that the hierarchy is active and that you are using the correct version.
- Activate Hierarchy: If the hierarchy is inactive or obsolete, you may need to activate it again. This can be done in the hierarchy maintenance transaction.
- Recreate Hierarchy: If the hierarchy is indeed obsolete and cannot be activated, you may need to recreate it. This involves defining a new hierarchy for the InfoObject.
- Check Transport Logs: If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs for any errors or warnings related to the hierarchy. You may need to re-transport the hierarchy or manually adjust it in the target system.
- Data Consistency Check: Run consistency checks in the BW system to identify and resolve any inconsistencies related to the InfoObject and its hierarchies.
