Message text: Generation no longer possible. Start the transaction again
No more programs could be generated in type pools.
Programs for problem analysis often have to be generated at run time,
as they always have to access other data structures and database
tables. The necessary generation of programs can be sped up
exceptionally if the programs are held in the main memory and
generated. The number of such generations is, however, restricted to
about 36 by the system.
The program &v1&, necessary for analysis can no longer be generated.
Start transaction RSRV anew or select less analyses at the same time.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

Start the transaction again") typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BI (Business Intelligence) when there is an issue with the generation of a data flow, process chain, or similar object. This error can arise due to various reasons, and here are some common causes, potential solutions, and related information:
Causes:
- Locking Issues: The object you are trying to generate may be locked by another user or process.
- Inconsistent Data: There may be inconsistencies in the data or metadata that prevent the generation from completing successfully.
- Transport Issues: If the object was recently transported from another system, there may be missing dependencies or inconsistencies.
- System Performance: High system load or performance issues can lead to timeouts or failures in the generation process.
- Configuration Errors: Incorrect settings in the data flow or process chain can lead to generation failures.
Solutions:
- Check Locks: Use transaction code
SM12
to check for any locks on the object. If you find locks that are not needed, you can release them.- Restart the Transaction: As the error message suggests, try restarting the transaction. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues.
- Check for Inconsistencies: Use transaction code
RSA1
to check for inconsistencies in the data model. You can also run the consistency check for the InfoObjects, InfoProviders, and other related objects.- Review Transport Logs: If the object was recently transported, check the transport logs for any errors or warnings that might indicate missing dependencies.
- System Performance: Monitor system performance using transaction codes like
SM37
(job monitoring) andST22
(dump analysis) to identify any performance-related issues.- Reconfigure: If you suspect configuration errors, review the settings of the data flow or process chain and make necessary adjustments.
- Check for Updates: Ensure that your SAP system is up to date with the latest patches and updates, as some issues may be resolved in newer versions.
