RSBOBJDS011
- Source object does not exist in repository. See long text ?The SAP error message RSBOBJDS011 indicates that a source object referenced in a DataSource does not exist in the repository. This typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BI (Business Intelligence) when trying to load data or when working with DataSources, InfoObjects, or other repository objects.
Cause:
- Deleted or Inactive Object: The source object (like a DataSource, InfoObject, or InfoProvider) may have been deleted or is currently inactive.
- Incorrect Object Name: There may be a typo or incorrect naming in the DataSource definition or in the transformation rules.
- Transport Issues: If the object was transported from one system to another, it may not have been included in the transport request, leading to its absence in the target system.
- Repository Synchronization: The repository may not be synchronized properly, leading to inconsistencies.
Solution:
- Check Object Existence: Verify that the source object exists in the repository. You can do this by navigating to the relevant transaction (like RSA1 for Data Warehousing Workbench) and checking the DataSource or InfoObject.
- Activate Objects: If the object exists but is inactive, activate it. This can be done in the Data Warehousing Workbench or the relevant transaction.
- Correct Naming: Ensure that the names of the objects in the DataSource or transformation are correct and match the actual names in the repository.
- Transport Check: If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs to ensure that all necessary objects were included and successfully transported.
- Repository Synchronization: If there are inconsistencies, you may need to synchronize the repository. This can often be done through the Data Warehousing Workbench or by using specific SAP transactions for repository maintenance.
- Check for Dependencies: Sometimes, the object may have dependencies on other objects. Ensure that all related objects are also active and exist in the repository.
