Message text: Delta extraction from DataStore object & not possible
The delta extraction from the DataStore object &V1& is not possible.
This can be due to one of the following reasons:
1. The DataStore object was deleted in the source system.
2. The data of the DataStore object was deleted due to a structure
change in the DataStore object.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
In case no. 1, a delta update is obviously no longer possible. In case
no. 2, the data of all the objects in the target system that was
retrieved from the DataStore object must be deleted and the delta
retrieval initialized again.

RSBM112
- Delta extraction from DataStore object & not possible ?The SAP error message RSBM112 indicates that delta extraction from a DataStore Object (DSO) is not possible. This error typically arises in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when trying to perform delta extraction from a DSO that is not properly configured or has certain issues.
Causes of RSBM112 Error
No Delta Queue Entries: The delta queue for the DSO might be empty, meaning there are no new or changed records to extract.
Incorrect Delta Configuration: The DSO may not be configured correctly for delta extraction. This could be due to missing settings or incorrect data flow configurations.
Data Consistency Issues: There may be inconsistencies in the data within the DSO, such as records that are not properly marked for extraction.
Data Load Issues: Previous data loads may have failed, leading to an incomplete or inconsistent state in the DSO.
Extraction Mode: The extraction mode might not be set to allow delta extraction. For example, if the DSO is set to "Full" extraction mode, delta extraction will not be possible.
Solutions to RSBM112 Error
Check Delta Queue: Verify if there are entries in the delta queue for the DSO. If the queue is empty, ensure that data has been loaded into the DSO and that the delta mechanism is functioning correctly.
Review DSO Configuration: Check the DSO settings in the SAP BW system. Ensure that the DSO is configured for delta extraction and that the necessary settings are in place.
Data Consistency Check: Perform a consistency check on the DSO to identify any issues with the data. You can use transaction codes like
RSA1
to access the Data Warehousing Workbench and check for errors.Reprocess Failed Loads: If there were any failed data loads, reprocess them to ensure that the DSO is in a consistent state.
Change Extraction Mode: If the DSO is set to "Full" extraction mode, consider changing it to "Delta" mode if appropriate for your data flow.
Check for Locks: Ensure that there are no locks on the DSO that might prevent delta extraction.
Monitor Data Flow: Use transaction
RSMO
to monitor the data flow and check for any issues that might be affecting the delta extraction process.Related Information
Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as RSA1
(Data Warehousing Workbench), RSMO
(Monitor Data Load), and RSPC
(Process Chain Maintenance) for monitoring and troubleshooting.
SAP Notes: Check SAP Notes related to delta extraction issues for any specific patches or updates that may address known problems.
Documentation: Review SAP documentation on DataStore Objects and delta extraction processes for best practices and configuration guidelines.
