Message text: Delta extraction is not possible at the moment
The delta extraction is not possible at the moment because the status
list of the request is locked in the Cube. This can be for a number of
reasons:
1. Another extraction is taking place in the target BW.
2. The control parameters of the request in the InfoCube are locked by
deletion or compressing processes.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Start the delta extraction again if you are sure that the request status
in the Cube is not locked.

RSBM106
- Delta extraction is not possible at the moment ?The SAP error message RSBM106, which states "Delta extraction is not possible at the moment," typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when trying to perform delta extraction from a source system. This error can arise due to several reasons, and understanding the cause is crucial for resolving the issue.
Causes:
Delta Queue Issues: The delta queue in the source system may be empty or not properly populated. If there are no new records to extract, the delta extraction will fail.
Data Transfer Process (DTP) Configuration: The DTP may not be correctly configured, or it may be in a state that prevents delta extraction.
Source System Lock: The source system might be locked for delta extraction due to ongoing processes or maintenance activities.
Data Consistency Issues: There may be inconsistencies in the data that prevent the delta extraction from being executed.
Technical Issues: There could be technical issues such as network problems, system performance issues, or other errors in the SAP BW system.
Delta Initialization Not Completed: If the delta initialization process has not been completed successfully, delta extraction will not be possible.
Solutions:
Check Delta Queue: Verify the delta queue in the source system to ensure that it contains data. You can use transaction codes like RSA7 to monitor the delta queue.
Review DTP Settings: Check the configuration of the Data Transfer Process (DTP) to ensure it is set up correctly for delta extraction.
Monitor Source System: Ensure that the source system is not locked or undergoing maintenance. If it is, wait until the maintenance is completed.
Data Consistency Check: Perform a consistency check on the data in the source system to identify and resolve any issues.
Reinitialize Delta: If the delta initialization has not been completed, you may need to reinitialize the delta extraction process.
Check for Technical Issues: Investigate any technical issues that may be affecting the extraction process, such as network connectivity or system performance.
Consult Logs: Review the logs in both the source system and the BW system for any error messages or warnings that could provide more context about the issue.
