Message text: Oldest deleted delta transfer is not available in the source system
You are trying to start a delta request (no delta initialization).
The target contains at least one updated delta request<(>,<)> and you
have recently deleted one or more consecutive delta requests. The data
that was transferred by the deleted delta request &V3& is no longer
available in the source.
The delta request will recover the data processed by request &V4& and
the subsequent requests.
If you want to retrieve even older data you have to re-initialize the
delta after the current request has been processed. In the
administration view of target &V1&<(>,<)> delete all delta requests that
originate from DTP &V2&. The system will then run a new delta
initialization.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

RSBC053
- Oldest deleted delta transfer is not available in the source system ?The SAP error message RSBC053 indicates that the oldest deleted delta transfer is not available in the source system. This typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when dealing with delta loads from a source system, such as an SAP ERP system.
Cause:
- Delta Queue Issues: The delta queue in the source system may have been reset or cleared, which means that the delta records that were previously available for extraction are no longer accessible.
- Data Deletion: If data has been deleted from the source system, and the delta extraction relies on that data, it can lead to this error.
- Time Frame: The delta extraction may be trying to access data that is outside the retention period configured in the source system.
- Incorrect Configuration: There may be configuration issues in the data source or the InfoPackage that are causing the delta extraction to fail.
Solution:
- Check Delta Queue: Verify the delta queue in the source system to ensure that it is not empty. You can use transaction codes like
RSA7
to monitor the delta queue.- Reinitialize Delta: If the delta queue has been reset, you may need to reinitialize the delta process. This involves:
- Performing a full load of the data from the source system to the BW system.
- After the full load, you can set up the delta extraction again.
- Data Consistency: Ensure that the data in the source system is consistent and that no unintended deletions have occurred.
- Check Retention Settings: Review the retention settings for the delta queue in the source system to ensure that they are configured correctly.
- Monitor InfoPackage: Check the InfoPackage settings in BW to ensure that they are correctly configured for delta extraction.
