SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: RSAOLTP - Notifications in OLTP Source Environment

  • Message number: 007

  • Message text: Field &1 will not be delivered from DataSource &2 in source system &3

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The DataSource replica &V2& does not contain the field &V1&.

    System Response

A transfer rule is not possible for this field.

    How to fix this error?

Check whether the DataSource &V2& contains this field in source system
&V3&, or whether the field in the DataSource has been hidden, to
exclude it from data transfer. If the field in the data source does not
exist, or if it was excluded from data transfer, correct the DataSource
manually. You do this by (re) transferring from the Content or by
importing from a development system. In all cases, repliciate the
DataSource into BW (even when it is correct in the source system).

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message RSAOLTP007 - Field &1 will not be delivered from DataSource &2 in source system &3 ?

The SAP error message RSAOLTP007 indicates that a specific field (denoted as &1) will not be delivered from a DataSource (denoted as &2) in a source system (denoted as &3). This error typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when trying to extract data from a source system, such as an SAP ERP system.

    Cause:

The error can be caused by several factors, including:

    1. Field Not Available: The field specified in the error message is not available in the DataSource. This could be due to changes in the source system or the DataSource configuration.

    2. Field Exclusion: The field may have been intentionally excluded from the DataSource during its configuration. This can happen if the field is not relevant for reporting or if it has been marked as not to be extracted.

    3. DataSource Activation: The DataSource may not be activated properly, or there may be inconsistencies in the DataSource definition.

    4. Version Mismatch: There may be a version mismatch between the source system and the BW system, leading to discrepancies in the available fields.

    Solution:

To resolve the RSAOLTP007 error, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check DataSource Configuration:

      • Go to the DataSource in the source system (transaction code RSA1 in BW).
      • Verify if the field in question is included in the DataSource definition. If it is missing, you may need to modify the DataSource to include it.
    2. Re-activate the DataSource:

      • If the DataSource has been modified, ensure that it is reactivated. This can be done in the source system using transaction RSA5 or RSA6.
    3. Check Field Mapping:

      • Ensure that the field is correctly mapped in the transformation rules if you are using transformations to load data into BW.
    4. Update BW Metadata:

      • If there have been changes in the source system, you may need to update the BW metadata. This can be done by replicating the DataSource again in BW using transaction RSA1.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Check the documentation for the specific DataSource to understand its structure and the fields it is supposed to deliver.
    6. Check for Notes and Patches:

      • Look for any SAP Notes or patches that may address issues related to the specific DataSource or field.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes:

      • RSA1: Data Warehousing Workbench
      • RSA5: Replicate DataSource
      • RSA6: Display DataSource
      • RSD1: InfoObject Maintenance
    • SAP Notes: Search for relevant SAP Notes in the SAP Support Portal that may provide additional insights or fixes related to the DataSource or the specific error.

    • Documentation: Review the SAP Help Portal for detailed information on DataSources and their configuration.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify the cause of the RSAOLTP007 error and implement a solution to resolve it.
