Message type: E = Error
Message class: RSAN_RT - Messages for Runtime Analysis
Message number: 321
Message text: Tolerance: Value Range: [0 (collinear), 1 (not collinear)]
The regression analysis requires that the dependent variable x0 and the
independent variables xj are not collinear (that is, they have a linear
dependency). Tolerance measures the degree of linear dependency, the
value range being between 0 and 1. Since the standard errors for the
regression coefficients increase the more the linear dependency
increases (and tolerance decreases), then the standardized, bivariate
correlation coefficients are made available in the output structure
instead of the regression coefficients in cases where tolerance is
below 0.02. The standardized, bivariate correlation coefficients are
not influenced by collinearity.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

RSAN_RT321
- Tolerance: Value Range: [0 (collinear), 1 (not collinear)] ?The SAP error message RSAN_RT321 typically relates to issues with the tolerance settings in the context of data processing or analysis, particularly in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP HANA. This error indicates that there is a problem with the value range for a certain parameter that is expected to be either 0 (collinear) or 1 (not collinear).
Cause:
The error is usually caused by:
- Incorrect Parameter Value: The parameter that is being checked is set to a value outside the expected range (0 or 1).
- Data Quality Issues: The data being processed may have inconsistencies or issues that lead to collinearity problems.
- Model Configuration: The configuration of the data model or the query may not be set up correctly, leading to this error.
Solution:
To resolve the RSAN_RT321 error, you can take the following steps:
Check Parameter Settings:
- Review the settings for the tolerance parameter in your data model or query. Ensure that it is set to either 0 or 1 as required.
Data Validation:
- Validate the data being processed to ensure there are no issues with collinearity. This may involve checking for duplicate values or highly correlated variables that could lead to collinearity.
Adjust Model Configuration:
- If you are using a data model, check the configuration settings. Ensure that the model is correctly set up to handle the data being processed.
Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on the error message and its context. This can provide insights into the expected configurations and settings.
Testing:
- After making adjustments, run tests to ensure that the error is resolved and that the data processing works as expected.
Seek Support:
- If the issue persists, consider reaching out to SAP support or consulting with a technical expert who specializes in SAP BW or HANA.
Related Information:
