You cannot copy the process variant. The same process variant as in the
original process chain is inserted into the copied process chain.

How to fix this error?

The process variant must be manually replaced after copying. Create a
new process variant that contains the correct objects/patterns to be
deleted. Insert this new variant into the copied process chain, in place
of the original process variant.
