This error typically arises due to compatibility issues or configuration problems with the DataStore Object.
Cause:
- Incompatible DataStore Object: The DataStore Object you are trying to add may not be compatible with the CompositeProvider. This can happen if the DSO is not set up correctly or if it is of a type that cannot be used as a PartProvider.
- DataStore Object Type: The DSO might be of a type that is not supported for use in CompositeProviders, such as a standard DSO instead of an advanced DSO (ADSO).
- Modeling Issues: There may be issues with the modeling of the DSO itself, such as missing key fields or incorrect data types.
- Technical Settings: The technical settings of the DSO may not allow it to be used in a CompositeProvider.
Solution:
- Check DSO Type: Ensure that the DataStore Object you are trying to add is an Advanced DSO (ADSO) and is configured correctly. Only ADSOs can be used as PartProviders in CompositeProviders.
- Review DSO Configuration: Go through the configuration of the DSO to ensure that it has the necessary key fields and that the data types are compatible with the CompositeProvider.
- Check CompositeProvider Settings: Verify that the CompositeProvider is set up correctly and that it is designed to accept the type of DSO you are trying to add.
- Recreate DSO: If the DSO is not configured correctly, consider recreating it with the correct settings.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to the SAP Help documentation for specific requirements and limitations regarding the use of DataStore Objects in CompositeProviders.
