Message type: E = Error
Message class: RS2HANA_CHECK - RS2HANA Check Report
Message number: 099
Message text: User &1: Number of results differs: InfoProvider view &2, Query view &3
The number of results retrieved from the generated external SAP HANA
view for query &V4& and the generated external SAP HANA view for its
underlying InfoProvider are different.
As there are no filter conditions defined for the external query SAP
HANA view which restrict the result set, the number of results retrieved
should be equal.
The generated SAP HANA SQL analytic privilege for external SAP HANA
query views contains a static filter condition which is always built
like in the following example. There is always a LIKE '%' condition:
Abstract example: "<Random view column>" LIKE '%'
Concrete example: "0CALDAY" LIKE '%'
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Because of the randomly selected view column for the external SAP HANA
view for query &V4&, the results are further restricted. This is a
severe error and has to be analyzed by SAP directly.
Please open an incident ticket on component BW-WHM-MTD-HMOD and mention
this message number RS2HANA_CHECK099.

RS2HANA_CHECK099
- User &1: Number of results differs: InfoProvider view &2, Query view &3 ?The SAP error message RS2HANA_CHECK099 typically indicates a discrepancy between the number of results returned by an InfoProvider view and a query view in SAP BW/4HANA or SAP BW on HANA. This error can occur during the execution of a query when the data returned from the InfoProvider does not match the expected results defined in the query.
Cause:
- Data Inconsistency: The data in the InfoProvider may have changed after the query was defined, leading to a mismatch in the expected number of results.
- Query Filters: Filters applied in the query may not align with the data available in the InfoProvider, resulting in different result counts.
- Aggregation Issues: If the InfoProvider is aggregating data differently than the query expects, this can lead to discrepancies.
- Data Model Changes: Changes in the underlying data model (e.g., changes in the InfoObject or InfoProvider structure) can lead to inconsistencies.
- Query Design: The query may be designed in a way that does not accurately reflect the data structure or relationships in the InfoProvider.
Solution:
- Check Data Consistency: Verify that the data in the InfoProvider is consistent and has not been altered unexpectedly. You can do this by running a data consistency check or comparing the data in the InfoProvider with the expected results.
- Review Query Filters: Examine the filters applied in the query to ensure they are appropriate and match the data in the InfoProvider.
- Validate Aggregation Logic: Ensure that the aggregation logic in the InfoProvider aligns with what the query expects. You may need to adjust the aggregation settings in the InfoProvider or the query.
- Analyze Query Design: Review the design of the query to ensure it accurately reflects the data model. Make adjustments as necessary to align the query with the InfoProvider.
- Rebuild the Query: If the issue persists, consider rebuilding the query from scratch to ensure that it is correctly configured.
- Check for Updates: Ensure that you are using the latest version of SAP BW/4HANA or SAP BW on HANA, as updates may contain fixes for known issues.
