RMXTTLS204
- Use the namespace for non-user-specific queries ?The SAP error message RMXTTLS204, which states "Use the namespace for non-user-specific queries," typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP HANA when there is an issue with the namespace being used in a query or report.
Cause:
This error usually arises when a query is trying to access or utilize a namespace that is intended for user-specific data, but the query itself is not user-specific. In SAP BW, queries can be defined in different namespaces, and user-specific queries are typically those that are tailored to individual users' preferences or settings. Non-user-specific queries, on the other hand, are meant to be general and applicable to all users.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:
Check Query Settings: Review the settings of the query that is generating the error. Ensure that it is set up correctly to use the appropriate namespace. If the query is intended to be non-user-specific, it should not reference any user-specific settings or namespaces.
Adjust Namespace: If the query is mistakenly set to use a user-specific namespace, change it to a non-user-specific namespace. This can usually be done in the query designer or the relevant configuration settings.
Review Authorization: Ensure that the user executing the query has the necessary authorizations to access the data in the specified namespace. Sometimes, authorization issues can lead to unexpected errors.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on namespaces and query configurations. This can provide insights into best practices and common pitfalls.
Test with Different Users: If possible, test the query with different user profiles to see if the issue persists. This can help identify if the problem is related to specific user settings.
Contact SAP Support: If the issue persists after trying the above solutions, consider reaching out to SAP support for further assistance. They can provide more detailed troubleshooting based on your specific system configuration.
