What causes this issue?

The formula you entered is an independent formula. However, using
dependent formulas has been activated in Customizing for the recipe
type of the recipe you selected (see <DS:DE.PVS_REMTCTRL_FORM>Formula
assign.</> indicator). The formula of the recipe was therefore created
when the recipe was created and is firmly assigned to it. You cannot
change this assignment. For this reason, the system does not accept the
formula you entered.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Make the required changes in the dependent formula. The formula is only
used in the current recipe.
