RMSA_STD016
- No more item numbers available ?The SAP error message RMSA_STD016, which states "No more item numbers available," typically occurs in the context of the SAP Retail Management System (RMS) when the system runs out of available item numbers for new entries. This can happen for various reasons, such as reaching the maximum limit of item numbers defined in the system or issues with number range configuration.
Cause:
- Exhausted Number Range: The number range for item numbers has been exhausted. This can happen if the defined range is too small for the volume of items being created.
- Configuration Issues: There may be misconfigurations in the number range settings, such as incorrect intervals or missing number ranges.
- System Settings: The system may not be set up to automatically extend the number range when it is close to being exhausted.
Solution:
Check Number Range Configuration:
- Go to the transaction code
SNRO
(Number Range Objects).- Look for the number range object related to item numbers (e.g.,
RMSA_ITEM
).- Check the current status of the number range and see if it has been exhausted.
Extend the Number Range:
- If the number range is exhausted, you can extend it by creating a new interval or increasing the upper limit of the existing interval.
- Ensure that the new range does not overlap with existing numbers.
Adjust System Settings:
- If applicable, configure the system to automatically extend the number range when it approaches its limit.
- This can often be done in the configuration settings of the number range object.
Consult Documentation:
- Review SAP documentation or notes related to number range management for specific guidance on your version of SAP.
Contact SAP Support:
- If you are unable to resolve the issue, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance, especially if this is a recurring problem.
