    An error occurred while accessing the Shared Objects area of the
    Repository Information System.

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    Restart the transaction or execute the function once again. If the error
    occurs again after that, perform the following steps, one after the
    other:
    - Call transaction SHMM.
    - Select the line with the area name CL_RIS_SHM_AREA.
    - Press the button 'Delete All Instances'.
    - Restart the transaction called previously or execute the function once
    again.
    The corresponding data structures will now be newly set up in the
    background. The intial access to the Repository Information System
    (search, F4help, where-used list, environment analysis) may take a few
    seconds to start. If the error persists after this, contact SAP Support.
