  • What causes this issue?

The assignment of one object to another is not appropriate from an
accounting perspective, or is technically not possible.
    Example
Assigning an asset as an account assignment object for a correction
posting is not correct. The system assigns costs from non-deductible
input tax or revenue from deductible input tax that were posted during
input tax correction. If account assignment were made to an asset, this
would lead to the costs/revenues being capitalized, which is not allowed
during input tax correction. Instead choose a (higher level) real estate
object or a cost center as an account assignment.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
