  • What causes this issue?

You have tried to edit a Content application component hierarchy.

    System Response

The A version of the hierarchy cannot be found. You cannot edit the
    hierarchy without this version.

    How to fix this error?

If you want to edit the "merged" customer application component
hierarchy that is found in BW under the source system tree, use
    activity <DS:SIMG.BW_CONTENTDS_EDIT>Editing DataSources and Application
Component Hierarchies</> in Customizing for Extractors.
If you really want to maintain a Content application component hierarchy
but this only exists in the system in the D version, use the <LS>Copy
    D Version to A Version</> function in the <LS>Hierarchy Selection</>
dialog box to create the required A version.
This is only useful if the application component hierarchy really is
to be edited as Content, and the A version is not available because the
system has been moved. In this case, the corresponding delivery object
(R3TR DSAD <Name>) is transported in the course of the editing process.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
