Message text: Assignment of object-specific description
In some cases it may be necessary to change the description of an InfoOb
ject in the context of a particular InfoProvider (especially with
MultiProviders where the identification of InfoObjects may be
different).
For example: you want InfoObject 0MATERIAL (description "Material") to b
e called #Article# in the context of a particular InfoCube.
In InfoProvider maintenance, you can define an InfoProvider-specific des
cription for an InfoObject.
If the default description of the InfoObject is not suitable, specify an
InfoProvider-specific description. Note that the description is
language-dependent and has to be translated. If an InfoProvider-specific
description is not available in a particular language, the system uses
the default description for the InfoObject.
Note: At runtime, the description you enter here also overrides the 20-c
haracter abbreviation that is specified in InfoObject definition. If the
InfoObject has the setting <LS>Use Short Description in Business
Explorer</>, the InfoProvider-specific description is used (if
available) with a length of 20 characters.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
