Message text: Characteristic &1 with high card. should be at least &2 characters long
You have selected the High Cardinality property for characteristic &V1&
although it only contains &V3&. If this property is selected, the system
does not generate SIDs.
Since the system is able to generate SIDs for two billion records,
setting this flag only makes sense if the characteristic is at least
&V2& characters long.
Either change the length of characteristic &V1& or deselect High
Cardinality. If you do not deselect High Cardinality, you will not be
able to use the characteristic for reporting objects like InfoCubes.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Characteristic &1 with high card. should be at least &2 characters long ?The SAP error message R7B667 indicates that a characteristic in your SAP system has a high cardinality, meaning it has a large number of unique values, and the system is enforcing a minimum length requirement for that characteristic. The error message specifies that the characteristic should have at least a certain number of characters (indicated by &2).
Cause:
- High Cardinality: The characteristic in question has a high number of unique values, which can lead to performance issues or inefficiencies in data processing.
- Minimum Length Requirement: The system is configured to require that the characteristic values meet a minimum length, which is not being satisfied by the current data.
Solution:
- Check Characteristic Configuration: Review the configuration of the characteristic in the SAP system. Ensure that the minimum length requirement is appropriate for the data being processed.
- Data Validation: Validate the data being entered for the characteristic. Ensure that all entries meet the minimum length requirement specified by the system.
- Adjust Minimum Length: If the minimum length requirement is too restrictive for your use case, consider adjusting it in the characteristic settings. This should be done with caution, as it may have implications for data integrity and performance.
- Data Cleansing: If there are existing entries that do not meet the minimum length requirement, you may need to cleanse the data to ensure compliance.
- Performance Considerations: If the high cardinality is causing performance issues, consider whether the characteristic can be restructured or if a different approach to data modeling is needed.
