- Characteristic &1 is disabled as InfoProvider but update rules exist ?The SAP error message R7B350 indicates that a characteristic in an InfoProvider is disabled, but there are existing update rules that reference this characteristic. This situation typically arises in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when working with InfoProviders, such as InfoCubes or DataStore Objects (DSOs).
Cause:
- Characteristic Disabled: The characteristic in question has been marked as disabled in the InfoProvider. This can happen if the characteristic is no longer needed or if it has been intentionally deactivated for some reason.

Check Update Rules:
- Go to the Data Warehousing Workbench (transaction RSA1).

- If the update rules are still required, you may need to modify them to remove references to the disabled characteristic.
Re-enable the Characteristic:
- If the characteristic is still relevant and should be used, you can re-enable it in the InfoProvider.
- To do this, go to the InfoObject maintenance (transaction RSD1) and check the status of the characteristic. If it is disabled, enable it again.
Check for Dependencies:
- Ensure that there are no other dependencies or settings that might be causing the characteristic to be disabled. This includes checking for any transformations or data flows that might be affected.
Transport Changes:
- If you are working in a development environment, ensure that any changes made are transported to the production environment if necessary.
