  • What causes this issue?

    You are trying to apply one of the changes mentioned below to
    characteristic &V1&. This is not possible because characteristic &V1&
    uses the Enhanced Master Data Update functionality, and the change log
    for master data of characteristic &V1& is not empty.
    Changes that are not allowed if enhanced master data update is switched
    on, and the change log for master data is not empty, are:
    Adding/removing compoundings
    Changing the compounding order
    Adding/removing attributes
    Changing the time-dependency of an attribute

    System Response

    The changes cannot be applied. You cannot activate characteristic &V1&.

    How to fix this error?

    Empty the change log for master data of characteristic &V1& and then
    start the activation again.

    Procedure for System Administrators

    You can manage the change log content for master data and requests for
    characteristic &V1& in general in the new Request Management framework
    monitor.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
