    The characteristic has already been activated with the setting "Enhanced
    Master Data Update" enabled. You cannot deactivate the setting once the
    characteristic is active.

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    If you want to unset the setting<(>,<)> you have to disable the master
    data setting in general for the characteristic. After unsetting and
    activating the characteristic<(>,<)> you can activate the master data
    setting again without enhanced master data update.
