Message number: 826
Message text: Caution! Inactive/ invalid InfoObjects are contained here
The definition of the InfoProvider or InfoObject catalog contains:
InfoObjects that are not active. However, BW objects can only be reused
in other BW objects if they are available in an active version.
InfoObjects that are only allowed as attributes. InfoObjects of this
type cannot be used in InfoProviders.
This error occurs typically with incomplete transports, where changes
are made and objects are transported again, or with SAP delivery objects
that have to be activated "bottom-up".
In the case of MultiProviders, an error can also mean that an involved
Provider (InfoSet) is not active.
The maintenance dialog allows the further editing of the InfoProvider or
InfoObject catalog; inactive/invalid InfoObjects are displayed. Note the
following:
When saving or activating the InfoProvider or InfoObject catalog, active
and valid InfoObjects only are included in the structure. This means
that inactive/invalid InfoObjects are lost from the structure
description.
There are 2 possible procedures:
Cancel the dialog:
If you want to save/activate the InfoProvider/InfoObject catalog in the
existing definition form, cancel the dialog and activate or correct the
required InfoObjects first.
If necessary, goto InfoObject maintenance and edit the InfoObjects
there. Depending on the cause of the error,
InfoObjects must be reedited or
InfoObjects must be recreated or
InfoObjects must first be transported into the current system.
With a MultiProvider, you may need to activate an involved InfoProvider
first (for example, InfoSet).
The InfoProvider or InfoCatalog can be edited again and saved or
activated in its current definition, after the InfoObject has been
activated.
Continue with dialog:
If it is acceptable that the InfoCube or the InfoObject catalog is only
saved or activated with the actively available and valid InfoObjects,
carry on with this maintenance dialog, save or activate, and include
additional InfoObjects in the structure at a later date.
However, you can only proceed in this way with InfoProviders with a
physical data store and data content if the data structure is not
"reduced" because of the data posted, as otherwise errors occur during
activation.
