  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Up until now, field &V2& has had value &V3& for InfoObject &V1&.

    System Response

After the InfoObject has been activated, a new value &V4& is valid. All
previously posted data is now interpreted differently. If InfoObject
&V1& is being used in InfoProviders that still contain data, it cannot
be activated (or only if the InfoProvider is converted).
If InfoObject &V1& is only being used in InfoProviders that do not
contain data, it can still be activated. In this case, InfoProviders in
which it is used are seactivated.
This is the case if one of the following structural changes is involved:
    New characteristic in the compound
Key figure type for 'amount' or 'quantity'
    Units - InfoObject
Non-cumulative type......(no influence on DataStore objects)
Non-cumulative change......(no influence on DataStore objects)
    Inflow......(no influence on DataStore objects)
    Outflow......(no influence on DataStore objects)
    Fixed key figure
Changing the following properties does not result in the deactivation of
    data targets:
    Deleting characteristics from the compound
    Constant
    Data type
    Key figure type
    Fixed unit
    Fixed currency
    Aggregation......(no influence on DataStore objects)
    Unit type

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

First delete the data in the InfoProvider in which characteristic &V1&
    is being used.
Activate the deactivated InfoProvider after InfoObject &V1& has been
activated. The result is that the generated DDIC objects (such as
tables) for this InfoProvider are adjusted to the changes made to
    InfoObject &V1&.
This may necessitate the conversion of tables. In this case, the InfoPro
vider cannot be activated. A relevant message appears in the activation
log. You then need to convert the affected tables using
    <DS:TRAN.SE14>Database Utility (transaction SE14)</>.
