Message text: Validity Intervals No Longer Correspond to the Time Constraint
When data is transferred, the system does not adjust the validity
intervals.
According to the time contraint, changing the interval limits of an
interval or deleting an interval causes the interval limits of the next
validity interval to be changed as well. You make this adjustment
yourself when data is transferred.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
In a data transfer run, you have to change all the validity intervals
for a business partner relationship/role definition in such a way that
the interval limits match the time constraint.

R1785
- Validity Intervals No Longer Correspond to the Time Constraint ?The SAP error message R1785, "Validity Intervals No Longer Correspond to the Time Constraint," typically occurs in the context of time management or personnel administration when there is a mismatch between the validity periods of certain data records and the time constraints defined in the system.
Cause:
This error can arise due to several reasons, including:
- Data Inconsistency: The validity periods of certain infotypes (like infotype 0000 for actions, infotype 0001 for organizational assignment, etc.) do not align with the time constraints set for those infotypes.
- Incorrect Time Constraints: The time constraints for the infotypes may not be correctly defined in the system configuration, leading to conflicts when trying to process or display the data.
- Changes in Data: If there have been recent changes to employee data or infotypes that affect the validity periods, it may lead to this error if the changes are not consistent with the existing time constraints.
Solution:
To resolve the R1785 error, you can take the following steps:
Check Validity Periods: Review the validity periods of the infotypes involved. Ensure that they are correctly set and do not overlap in a way that violates the time constraints.
Review Time Constraints: Check the configuration of the time constraints for the relevant infotypes in the SAP system. You can do this by navigating to the relevant configuration settings in the SAP IMG (Implementation Guide).
Adjust Data: If you find inconsistencies, you may need to adjust the validity periods of the infotypes or correct the time constraints in the configuration.
Use Transaction Codes: Utilize transaction codes like PA30 (Maintain HR Master Data) to check and modify the infotype records. You can also use PA20 (Display HR Master Data) to view the records without making changes.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific infotypes and their time constraints for further guidance.
Testing: After making adjustments, test the changes to ensure that the error no longer occurs and that the data behaves as expected.
