What causes this issue?

You try to link a master characteristic and a class characteristic that
is a standard characteristic for batches. This is not allowed, since
the batch valuation for these characteristics does not take place in a
quality inspection.

How can this happen?

The class characteristic LOBM_QSCORE (characteristc short text:
"Quality score") is automatically valuated with the quality score of
the usage decision. It cannot, therefore, be supplied with values from
an inspection characteristic from a quality inspection.
For this reason, the link is not allowed.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
