  • What causes this issue?

On the selection screen, you have chosen the indicator "Only materials
    without deletion flag".

    System Response

The system first loads all materials, for which an inspection is
    specified in the inspection plan.
The system then searches for valid inspection plans.
The system checks if materials without a valid inspection plan are
    marked for deletion.
Materials with a deletion flag are not copied into the output list.
    Note
Since the system has to load additional data to check for deletion
flags, you can extend the runtime of the program, if there are a large
    number of datasets.

    How to fix this error?

To improve performance, we recommend that you only set the indicator,
if a large number of materials with a deletion flag usually appear in
    your worklist.

    Procedure for System Administrators

If required, check with your system administrator whether materials
with a deletion flag can be deleted.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message QP804 - Only materials without a deletion flag are displayed ?

The SAP error message QP804 ("Only materials without a deletion flag are displayed") typically occurs in the context of quality management (QM) or material management (MM) when you are trying to access or display materials that have been flagged for deletion in the system. This means that the materials you are trying to work with are not available for certain operations because they have been marked as deleted.

    Cause:

The primary cause of this error message is that the materials you are trying to access have been set with a deletion flag in the material master record. This flag indicates that the material is no longer active or should not be used in transactions.

    Solution:

To resolve this issue, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check Material Status:

      • Go to the material master record (transaction code MM03).
      • Enter the material number and check the status of the material. Look for any deletion flags in the relevant views (e.g., Basic Data, Sales, Purchasing).
    2. Remove Deletion Flag:

      • If you determine that the deletion flag should be removed (for example, if the material is still relevant for your operations), you can do this by:
        • Using transaction code MM02 to change the material master record.
        • Navigate to the relevant view where the deletion flag is set and remove the flag.
        • Save the changes.
    3. Consult with Your Team:

      • If you are unsure whether to remove the deletion flag, consult with your team or the responsible department (e.g., inventory management, production planning) to confirm the status of the material.
    4. Check Authorization:

      • Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to view or modify the material master records. If you do not have the required permissions, contact your SAP administrator.
    5. Review Related Transactions:

      • If you are working with specific transactions (like quality inspections or stock transfers), ensure that the materials you are trying to use are indeed active and not flagged for deletion.

    Related Information:

    • Material Master Views: Familiarize yourself with the different views in the material master, as the deletion flag can be set in various contexts (e.g., purchasing, sales).
    • SAP Documentation: Refer to SAP Help documentation for more details on material master management and the implications of deletion flags.
    • Quality Management: If you are working in a quality management context, ensure that the materials are compliant with quality standards and are not flagged due to quality issues.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the QP804 error and access the materials you need for your operations.
