    The master inspection characteristic can be used in a material
    specification during variant configuration or batch determination. If
    you perform a copy operation, this link is lost. This means that both
    the inspection characteristic for the task list and the material
    specification characteristic (or the characteristic for the
    configuration or batch determination) have to be inspected when an
    inspection lot is created.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
