  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The specified policy type is not allowed for the process type. Possible
    reasons are the following:
The specified policy type does not exist.
The country/region of the specified policy type does not match with the
country/region of the process type; nor is the specified policy type set
    for all countries (*).

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    Create the missing policy type.
Make sure that the country/region of the specific policy type either is
all countries (*) or matches that of the process type.
Note that the policy type is an abstraction of a group of policies. It
is not a one-to-one mapping to policy; the policy is to be defined in
the simplified configuration application of Policy Configuration.
For example, you can define a policy type for each country/region and
separate policy types for regular payroll and off-cycle payroll
respectively. As a result, policy types assigned to a process type serve
as filters when a user assigns policies to a process during the process
creation process in the simplified configuration application of Process
    Configuration.
