    To control the access to payroll processes, Payroll Control Center uses
    the authorization object Payroll Data Source Instance (P_PYD_INST). The
    authorization field Payroll Data Source Instance ID (P_PYD_INST) is
    mapped with the process ID preceded by an authorization prefix.
    The authorization prefix helps to group processes that belong to the
    same HR organizational assignment. And roles can be easily defined by
    using the authorization prefix and a wildcard.
    For this purpose, the authorization prefix is mandatory for generating
    the data source instance for every process.

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    Have an overview of the processes that are needed according to HR
    organizational and operational purpose.
    Group the processes and assign a proper authorization prefix to each
    group.
    In Configuration Workbench, apply the authorization prefix when you
    configure processes.
    In transaction <AB>PFCG </>(Role Maintenance), assign the authorization
    of processes (using the authorization prefix and a wildcard) to relevant
    roles.
