Message text: Validation rules &1 and &2 have the same semantic value &3.
This issue only happens when the specified validation rules were created
in Customizing activity
<DS:SIMG.PCC_1605_SIMP_CHKTP>Define Check Types</>.
The specified validation rules in the alert dependencies were not
created or edited in Configuration Workbench. They have been assigned
the semantic category <AB>PYD_CKFLTR </>(Represents a
Check-Results-Filter Data Source Type) and the same (customer-defined)
semantic value in the node <LS>Asgmt. of Semantic Category</> in
Customizing activity
<DS:SIMG.PCC_1605_SIMP_CHKTP>Define Check Types</>.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
When you select a validation rule A as alert dependency for a validation
rule X in Configuration Workbench, the system selects all the validation
rules that have the semantic category <AB>PYD_CKFLTR</> and the same
(customer-defined) semantic value as the selected validation rule A and
adds them in the alert dependencies of validation rule X.
For example, validation rules A and B have the semantic category
<AB>PYD_CKFLTR</> and the same (customer-defined) semantic value. You
will end up having both validation rules A and B in the alert
dependencies of validation rule X, even if you only intended to add
validation rule A as alert dependency.
Similarly, if you want to remove one of them from the alert
dependencies, the system selects all the validation rules that have the
semantic category <AB>PYD_CKFLTR</> and the same semantic value and
removes them from the alert dependencies of validation rule X.
Now that you have both validation rules A and B in the alert
dependencies of validation rule Y. In this case, both validation rules A
and B are removed from the alert dependencies even if you only intended
to remove validation rule A.
Note
When a validation rule is created or edited in Configuration Workbench,
if the checkbox <LS>This validation rule can be used by other validation
rules to suppress raised alerts</> is selected in the <LS>Alert
Dependencies</> tab page, then the validation rule has the semantic
category <AB>PYD_CKFLTR</> and the semantic value is the ID of the
validation rule. As the ID is a unque identifier of the object in the
system, the semantic value thus becomes unique.
If you see the above message when you add validation rules A and B in
the alert dependencies for validation rule X, take the following steps
in Customizing activity
<DS:SIMG.PCC_1605_SIMP_CHKTP>Define Check Types</>:
It is recommended that you make sure each validation rule (A and B),
which has the semantic category <AB>PYD_CKFLTR,</> has a unique
semantic value, for example, by changing the semantic value to the ID of
the validation rule.
Update the semantic value of validation rule X by updating the semantic
value for semantic category <AB>PYD_NEED</>.
When validation rule X with semantic category <AB>PYD_NEED </>has the
same semantic value as validation rule A with semantic category
<AB>PYD_CKFLTR</>, it means that validation rule X will not raise an
alert if the same alert has been raised by validation rule A.

PYC_CONF_WB037
- Validation rules &1 and &2 have the same semantic value &3. ?The SAP error message PYC_CONF_WB037 indicates that there are validation rules in the system that have the same semantic value, which can lead to ambiguity in the validation process. This error typically arises in the context of SAP's Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) or similar modules where validation rules are defined for data consistency and integrity.
Cause: The error occurs when two or more validation rules are defined with the same semantic value. This means that the system cannot determine which rule to apply when processing data, leading to potential conflicts or incorrect validations.
Solution: To resolve this error, you need to identify the conflicting validation rules and modify them to ensure that each rule has a unique semantic value. Here are the steps you can take: Identify the Conflicting Rules: Use transaction codes like KEDR (for CO-PA) or relevant configuration transactions to view the validation rules. Look for the rules that are mentioned in the error message (denoted
