PR011
- No historical data exists ?The SAP error message PR011 ("No historical data exists") typically occurs in the context of SAP's Human Capital Management (HCM) module, particularly when dealing with personnel administration or payroll processes. This error indicates that the system cannot find any historical data for the specified employee or personnel number in the relevant infotypes or tables.
Causes:
- No Historical Records: The most common cause is that there are no historical records available for the employee in question. This could be due to the employee being new or the records being deleted or not yet created.
- Incorrect Date Range: The date range specified in the query or report may not correspond to any existing records. For example, if you are trying to access data for a period before the employee's start date.
- Data Archiving: Historical data may have been archived, and the system is unable to retrieve it because it is no longer in the active database.
- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration issues in the system that prevent the retrieval of historical data.
Solutions:
- Check Employee Records: Verify that the employee has historical records in the relevant infotypes. You can do this by checking the infotype records directly in the SAP system (e.g., using transaction PA20 or PA30).
- Adjust Date Range: Ensure that the date range you are querying includes periods for which data exists. If necessary, adjust the date range to match the employee's actual employment dates.
- Review Archiving Settings: If you suspect that data has been archived, check the archiving settings and policies in your SAP system. You may need to restore archived data if it is necessary for your reporting or analysis.
- Consult with IT or SAP Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue, it may be helpful to consult with your IT department or SAP support team. They can provide insights into system configurations and data management practices.
