Message text: Planning with forecast demand not supported in MRP Live on HANA
A forecast exists for the material and the forecast requirements are to
be considered in the planning run. However, the MRP Live on HANA run
does not support the planning of forecast requirements.
Note:
Do not confuse forecast requirements with planned independent
requirements. MRP Live on HANA supports the planning of planned
independent requirements. With regard to forecasts, MRP Live on HANA
supports the following scenarios:
Execution of a forecast for the total consumption. The forecast itself
is not relevant to planning but can be used as the basis for planned
independent requirements which are included in the MRP Live on HANA run.
Execution of a forecast for the calculation of the reorder point and
safety stock for consumption-based planning.
The MRP Live report plans the material using classic MRP.
The planning run using classic MRP may be slower than the planning run
using MRP Live on HANA. To enable the planning of the material in MRP
Live on HANA, proceed as follows:
Check whether the material was included in a forecast recently. If the
material was only included in forecasts in the past for which forecast
requirements still exist, they will prevent the material from being
included in the MRP Live on HANA run. In this case, delete the forecasts
or select an MRP procedure that does not take account of the forecast.
If the forecast is executed for the total consumption and included in
the planning run (for example, for the MRP procedure ?VV?), you can
define a similar process by setting the planning strategy group ?10?
(make-to-stock) in the material master and selecting an MRP procedure
that enables the execution of the forecast for the total consumption
whereby the forecast is not relevant to planning. Then you can use the
forecast as the basis for planned independent requirements which can be
included in the MRP Live on HANA run.
