  • What causes this issue?

You want to run MRP Live, but the system has detected that one or more
of the number ranges that are required for MRP Live do not yet exist.

    System Response

    The MRP Live run aborts.

    How to fix this error?

You need to maintain three additional number ranges to run MRP Live.
The number range objects are: BANF (purchase requisitions), PLAF
(planned orders), and RESB (material reservations/dependent
    requirements).
To maintain the number ranges, proceed as follows:
Start transaction SNRO, enter one of these objects<(>,<)> and choose the
    <ZK>Ranges </>button.
    Select <ZK>Change Intervals</>.
In the resulting screen, create an interval with the number 'PP' and a
number range that must not overlap any existing number ranges for this
object. Make sure you only create numeric boundaries.
    Save this new number range.
Go back one screen and choose <ZK>Change NR Status</> to maintain the
    number range status.
Make sure that you set the number range status of the newly created
interval 'PP' to the lower boundary (from-number).
    Save the number range status.
Repeat this process for all three number range objects BANF, PLAF and
    RESB.
    Note:
You must not use these intervals for any other purpose. They are
exclusively reserved for documents created by MRP Live.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
