This error indicates that the system has reached a predefined limit on the number of objects that can be expanded in a particular view or context, such as a planning board or graphical display.
Cause:
- Object Limit Reached: The error is primarily caused by exceeding the maximum number of objects (e.g., orders, products, or resources) that can be displayed or processed in a single view. This limit is set to ensure system performance and usability.
- Configuration Settings: The limit may be defined in the system configuration settings, which can vary based on the specific implementation and version of SAP.
- Data Volume: A large volume of data being processed or displayed can trigger this error, especially in complex planning scenarios.
Solution:
Adjust Display Settings:
- Reduce the number of objects being displayed by applying filters or changing the selection criteria in the planning board or graphical display.
- Consider narrowing down the time frame or focusing on specific products or resources.
Increase Object Limit:
- If appropriate, consult with your SAP Basis or system administrator to see if the limit can be increased in the configuration settings. This may involve adjusting parameters in the system settings related to the planning board or graphical display.
Optimize Data:
- Review the data being processed to ensure that only relevant objects are included in the planning view. This may involve archiving old data or cleaning up unnecessary entries.
Use Alternative Views:
- If the current view is not essential, consider using alternative views or reports that can handle larger datasets without hitting the object limit.
