The changes in Customizing do not have an automatic effect on existing
production data structures (PDS) in APO. As new master data explosions
and configurations are required because of the new settings, the
relevant PDS must be generated again.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
