Message text: No proposals can be generated for the control cycle
You are on the tab page <LS>Control Cycle</> on the maintenance screen
for the iPPE Workbench. For this line structure element and all
lower-level line structure elements in the hierarchy, the system
determines combinations of material, plant, and production supply area.
The system determines the plant and the production supply area from the
line structure element itself. It determines the relevant materials
using the iPPE structure.
You can maintain control cycles in the iPPE Workbench for the determined
combinations. However, for this line structure element, the system could
not determine any material-plant-production supply area combinations.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Check whether:
You have maintained production supply areas for the line structure
elements
A line balance exists
You have assigned an activity to the line structure element
You have assigned components to the activity, and whether the material
consumption indicator <LS>No Consumption/Documentation </>is set
A valid production version exists for the assemblies that are to be
produced on the line

- No proposals can be generated for the control cycle ?The SAP error message PK393 ("No proposals can be generated for the control cycle") typically occurs in the context of Production Planning (PP) and is related to the control cycle in the Kanban process. This error indicates that the system was unable to generate proposals for the control cycle due to various reasons. Here are some common causes, potential solutions, and related information:
Causes:
Control Cycle Configuration Issues: The control cycle may not be properly configured. This includes missing or incorrect settings in the control cycle master data.
Material Master Data Issues: The material associated with the control cycle may not be set up correctly. This includes missing MRP data or incorrect planning parameters.
Stock Levels: There may be insufficient stock levels or no stock available for the material in question, preventing the generation of proposals.
Kanban Status: The status of the Kanban container may not allow for new proposals to be generated. For example, if the Kanban is in a "Blocked" status.
Control Cycle Type: The type of control cycle may not be appropriate for the material or the production process.
Planning Parameters: Incorrect planning parameters or settings in the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) configuration can lead to this error.
Solutions:
Check Control Cycle Configuration: Review the control cycle settings in the SAP system. Ensure that all necessary fields are filled out correctly and that the control cycle is active.
Review Material Master Data: Verify that the material master data is complete and accurate. Check the MRP views and ensure that the material is set up for planning.
Check Stock Levels: Ensure that there is sufficient stock available for the material. If stock is low, consider adjusting the stock levels or replenishing inventory.
Examine Kanban Status: Check the status of the Kanban container. If it is blocked or in a status that prevents proposals, resolve the issue by changing the status.
Validate Control Cycle Type: Ensure that the control cycle type is appropriate for the material and the production process. If necessary, create a new control cycle with the correct type.
Adjust Planning Parameters: Review and adjust the planning parameters in the MRP settings to ensure they align with the requirements of the control cycle.
