Message text: Do not define cross-material control cycles for release order parts
You are attempting to define a material-independent control cycle for
release parts.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
For release parts, the production supply request made in the system is
independent of the production order. The system does not allow the
assignment of release parts to material-independent control cycles
because this does not enable a useful restriction to materials.
Material-independent control cycles are only allowed when using
material staging indicators "1" (direct picking) and "0" (no WMeine
staging allowed.
If you want to define materials as release parts, create an own
control cycle for these materials.

PK106
- Do not define cross-material control cycles for release order parts ?The SAP error message PK106, which states "Do not define cross-material control cycles for release order parts," typically occurs in the context of production planning and control, particularly when dealing with control cycles in the SAP system.
Cause:
This error arises when there is an attempt to define a control cycle that spans multiple materials for a release order part. In SAP, control cycles are used to manage the flow of materials in production and are generally defined for individual materials. When a control cycle is defined for a release order part, it should not reference multiple materials, as this can lead to inconsistencies and complications in the planning and execution processes.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you should take the following steps:
Review Control Cycle Definition: Check the control cycle definitions in the system. Ensure that each control cycle is defined for a single material and not for multiple materials.
Adjust Control Cycle Settings: If you find that a control cycle is incorrectly set up for multiple materials, you will need to adjust the settings. Create separate control cycles for each material involved in the release order.
Check Release Order Configuration: Ensure that the release order is correctly configured and that it aligns with the control cycles defined in the system.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on how to properly set up control cycles and release orders.
Testing: After making the necessary adjustments, test the changes in a development or test environment before applying them to the production system.
