  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message PCNTPM026 - For item &1(&2), calculation method BAdI is not implemented ?

The SAP error message PCNTPM026 indicates that for a specific item (identified by &1 and &2), the calculation method defined in the system is not implemented. This typically occurs in the context of the SAP Product Costing module, particularly when using a BAdI (Business Add-In) for custom calculations.

    Cause:

    1. BAdI Not Implemented: The error suggests that the BAdI (Business Add-In) related to the calculation method for the item is not implemented. This means that the system is trying to execute a calculation that relies on a custom implementation, but that implementation is missing.
    2. Configuration Issues: There may be a configuration issue where the system is set to use a calculation method that has not been properly set up or activated.
    3. Missing Custom Code: If the BAdI is supposed to have custom code associated with it, that code may not have been developed or activated.

    Solution:

    1. Implement the BAdI:

      • Go to transaction SE18 (BAdI Definition) and check for the specific BAdI related to the calculation method you are using.
      • If it is not implemented, you will need to create an implementation for it using transaction SE19 (BAdI Implementation).
      • Ensure that the implementation contains the necessary logic to perform the required calculations.
    2. Check Configuration:

      • Review the configuration settings for the calculation method in the relevant customizing transactions (e.g., OKTZ for costing variants).
      • Ensure that the calculation method is correctly assigned and that all necessary settings are in place.
    3. Consult Documentation:

      • Check SAP documentation or notes related to the specific BAdI and calculation method to ensure that you are following the correct implementation steps.
    4. Testing:

      • After implementing the BAdI, perform tests to ensure that the calculation works as expected and that the error message no longer appears.
    5. Seek Help from SAP Support:

      • If you are unable to resolve the issue, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance, especially if this is a standard BAdI that should have an implementation.

    Related Information:

    • BAdI Documentation: Familiarize yourself with the specific BAdI documentation to understand its purpose and how it should be implemented.
    • SAP Notes: Search for relevant SAP Notes that may provide additional insights or solutions related to the error message.
